An A Lazy H  Montana horse packtrip is a unique and exciting summer vacation.  Horse trail riding and horse camping are the focus of our roving wilderness trips.  The trips move from camp to camp every other day or so over the course of 3 to 8 days.  Throughout the summer we have many different trips covering thehighlights of The Bob, including the Continental Divide,  Chinese Wall, several lookouts, and diverse range of open meadows and high alpine trail riding. 

Each trip has it’s own unique interests and special focus.   From vast rolling meadows, trails in the shadow of the Continental Divide, rivers hidden amidst century old forests, and fire lookout stations at the tops of the mountains.  Our trusty remuda of rail riding horses takes you through the mountains on spectacular routes.

Horse camping is really the only way to go in our opinion.  Each campsite is unique and in a beautiful setting.  On layover days, where we stay more than one night at a campsite, you can go hiking, horseback riding, and fly fishing in the streams and rivers near camp. Many guests simply enjoy relaxing in camp on layover days.

Our fishing adventures are based at campsites close to rivers, streams, or lakes to maximize the fly water opportunities. Our roving adventures travel high along the Continental Divide. If you are having difficulty deciding which adventure to choose, let us help you create your ideal vacation.
